Guadalupe Neighborhood Alley Cleanup
Austin, TX 2005

Students at the School of Architecture at UT Austin worked with community members to clean up an alley in East Austin.
This group of students re-discovered the unserved alleys , and started to re-imagine them as a pedestrian environment that could be reinvigorated through architectural interventions and community engagement. Students also built a composting fence for one alley resident starting a process of 'greening' the alleys.
This work and research lead to the development of The Alley Flat Initiative.
